Aaah, class....  this is such an awesome period for our little humble reality and label,  Matteite records! After the amazing and brilliant performance of IL MORO E IL QUASI BIONDO at the Here I Stay Records Festival in Sardinia, we have a great new surprise: The booking agency Baraonda (in association with the crew of La Stanza) booked a gig for our sweet sista from New York, Carolyn "Honeychild" Coleman on August 14th, in Montignano (Ancona) !  The debut album of this crazy creature ,which was mixed and produced by our newlywed super hero Max Stirner(Matteite Records/Infecta Suoni e Affini/Venus), will be in all the best stores around the Peninsula in November 2008. In the meantime, get ready to enjoy this special preview of the "Halo Inside (Come la Luna)" Tour, as we're equally psyched  about the unreal and super positive  stage line up: Carolyn "Honeychild" Coleman (Apollo Heights, Badawi, Here) - voice, Ruggero Catania (Africa Unite , Wah Companion)  - guitar, Matteo "Matteite" Dainese (Dejligt, Meathead, Ulan Bator, Here)  - drums, Andrea Pierasco (Sniper Kiss, Dejligt) bass, and Jenny Burnazzi (Comaneci) cello. The second set of freaks who've decided to enjoy the Matteite Records team called IL MORO E IL QUASI BIONDO  are amidst their lonely (Dejligt are off for the Summer) live adventure: In fact, these guys have been invited to play a show on July 25th as the opning act for the prestigious indie festival "Here I Stay  in Guspini" (Cagliari). While the first good press feedback on their first album "questa è una parentesi :) " (Matteite/Venus 2008) is daily knocking on our doors (Thanks to the special job of our press office Barbara Santi - woo hoo! ) and we're waiting until mid- August to see IODA upload the same CD on iTunes, it seems these guys from Codroipo (UD) have almost completed their own remix of "Feed the Dog" for their classmate DEJLIGT. Another secret bird told me also that the crew are also gearing up (in the middle of their aliens schedule) to start working on a video clip. Keep your eyes peeled.......

 

 

With the sun and the rain alternating in our small nest we're pretty much suffering from the hot weather but also extremely focused on working like animals. The last recording sessions of the new "DEJLIGT" album were done in UDINE at the Moscow Studio with the patience of the sweet and friendly sound engineer Davide and the his gentle colleague Lupo. In the meantime the faux crazy Danish guys found themselves with 2 new and different albums: one in English and one in Italian! The solution (in collaboration with the Italian label Tempesta ) is to release in Italy the Italian stuff around November (T.B.C) with another name instead DEJLIGT, which in these days it keeps changing like the weather and alongside our crazy mood. So... if U have any suggestions for a new name for this project, throw it in the middle! By the way, the glorious Max Stirner is the one who (after his marriage to the beautiful Zizza) will mix this album as well.

 

Here we are again! The sensational adventure of the Feed the Dog remixes and covers is almost complete. Well, of course we do still miss some good friends of Matteite, but at the moment we can't anyway stop counting and listening to the "entire" collection of special stuff we've received from all the freaks who signed up to play this Pre-Summer Game. The heroine and sweet friend of this episode is Carolyn Honeychild Coleman, who just before her own record release for "Halo Inside (Come la Luna)" (Autumn 2008) for the Italian labels Matteite& Suoni Affini, decided to roll down her building stairs in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) and get into her friend Tony Maimone's (Pere Ubu)Studio G and record an awesome version of "Town!" Grazie sista!

 Ah... Sabrina Carnevale is not only a pretty good-looking girl; she's a talented and respected electronic musician. Her remix of "Blue Station” builds up kick by kick 'til U get to the special ending at which U simply can’t stop dancing and singing the chorus along with the magical Troy Von Balthazar's voice. Thanks Sabrina, and please say hello to gentle Mr.Baffolo for us. Hope we're going to work together again soon!
